MTN Y’ello Biz is an insurance policy designed to protect small businesses in the event of fire, flood or any other risks. It covers ONLY an insured’s building content (only items inside the building). The limit of the insurance liability is based on the plan chosen and paid for by the subscriber.
For just N300 a week, subscribers enjoy N1 million insurance cover for their businesses. MTN Y’ello Biz is an insurance protection for your goods that is simple and affordable.

Product features

  1. Covers loss or damages as a result of the occurrence of fire and special perils
  2. Burglary and accidental damages are not covered by this policy
  3. Only registered MTN subscribers between ages 18 – 60 years are eligible to the service
  4. No registration fee or opt out charges are applied
  5. Service fee which is inclusive of Premium shall be paid via deductions from loaded Airtime
  6. Subscribers can cancel the insurance plan at any time
  7. When a subscriber accepts product terms and conditions for the insurance cover, a policy number will be sent to the subscriber by SMS. Access to the customer portal will also be available to a subscriber to update subscription details & print policy certificate.
  8. Presentation of policy number is however sufficient proof of insurance cover
  9. Policy starts once a subscriber chooses a cover plan and accepts terms and conditions of the service. Subscriber policy becomes active once they have registered for the service and paid the first premium
  10. Cover would commence 12:00am of subsequent day of subscription payment and ends 11:59pm of day 7 from day of subscription payment. Only claims that occur between this period of cover after every subscription payment would be covered and deemed payable by the insurer
  11. Insured property address can be changed only once in 30days. A policy holder has the sole obligation to inform his wards or legal adviser of the existence of the insurance policy
  12. The subscriber must have sufficient credit balance. Where the subscribers credit balance is insufficient, the subscriber is notified of not being on cover and will be asked to top-up the line in order to be billed for cover again
  13. Responsibility lies with the subscriber in the event of phone misuse or fraudulent activity from the subscriber’s MSISDN with respect to the insurance service
  14. Subscribers must accept these Terms and Conditions of the product prior to subscription
  15. The contract shall continue as long as premium is paid as at when due
  16. Claims will be paid within Seven (7) working days from the receipt of all documentations, subject to satisfactory post loss survey

Terms & Conditions

In the event of a claim, the insured would be required to present some or all of the following documents to Mansard Insurance or any designated representative:

  1. Completed claim form
  2. Pictures of burnt property
  3. Police report and/or fire service report
  4. Means of identification
  5. Tenancy receipt or C of O or evidence of occupancy
  6. Estimated inventory list
