myMTN App




You can purchase data from myMTN App even when you run out of data or you are outside data network coverage.

Is it possible to use the App when out of Data? Yes. The experience is same as when the customer has data. There is a daily ‘zero-data access’ limit that allows the customer use myMTN App.


What if the subscriber is out of network coverage, can he still access myMTN App? Yes. When offline (out of data network coverage), customer will be defaulted to the myMTN Lite version.
On the Lite version, when the customer clicks to buy Data or Airtime, the customer is redirected to the applicable USSD code to make purchase.

  2. Check that you have enough credit for your trip. To check your airtime balance, dial *556#.
  3. While roaming, you can credit your phone using your bank account, MyMTN App (which can be downloaded from play store) or vouchers
When You Arrive:
  1. To enjoy data roaming, go to settings and turn ON your ‘data roaming’
  2. Set phone on 3G or 4G where applicable.
  3. To subscribe to any roaming bundle, dial *123*4# or visit MyMTN App. However, before buying a bundle, check eligible countries on *123*4#
