KEEP MY NUMBER

Keep My Number is a service that allows MTNN Prepaid customers keep their numbers for 1 year (365 days) after subscribing for the service and paying the subscription fee of NGN500.

So, in the event that a customer wants to travel out of the country or just want to avoid her/his MSISDN being disconnected from the network, the customer will simply subscribe for the service.

 

Below is a summary of Keep My Number mechanics:

 

v  Keep My Number is available for all new and existing MTNN Prepaid customers ONLY.

v  A customer will be required to opt-in for Keep My Number service by dialing *365*1# or texting KMN to 36500.

v  Once a customer subscribes for the service, a subscription fee of NGN500 will be deducted from the customer’s account.

v  As soon as MTN confirm the payment, the MSISDN will be kept in Keep My Number list. So whenever MTNN conducts a mass disconnection and recycling of PHONE NUMBERs, these MSISDNs will be excluded from the list.

 

v  A customer will be able to opt-out of Keep my Number by dialing *365*2#

v  In the event that the subscription expires and the customer does not re-subscribe, her/his PHONE NUMBER will be disconnected and re-cycled.

 

v   PHONE NUMBERS on the Keep My Number list will still be able to use any and all of MTNN’s products and services as long as s/he has sufficient funds in her/his account

v  If the customer wants to remain on the Keep My Number list for another 365 days after the initial subscription has expired, s/he will be required to re-subscribe again by dialing *365*1# or texting KMN to 36500.

 

v  After re-subscribing for the service, another subscription fee of NGN500 will be deducted from the customer’s account.

 

v  Customers will be reminded quarterly that their PHONE NUMBERS are on the Keep My Number list.
